State's Rights Run Amuck- SCOTUS Says People That'll Die Soon Are Allowed to Die

A bit more breaking news this afternoon, in Justice Robert's first loss, the Supreme Court has upheld Oregon's assisted suicide law. The 6-3 decision failed as Attorney General John Ashcroft attempted to steamroll it with federal drug law.

Well I am stoked that Oregon gets to keep its law, but I am a little worried about how Roberts came down on this. How conservative is he going to be?

I'm not as concerned about Roberts as I am about Alito. Roberts has the chief justice banner to carry, and that extra weight won't allow him to be as extreme as he might otherwise be.
